The Knight Lites started as an idea back in 2006 when Keith Kueneman and Cliff Vandale talked about getting together to have some fun with a violin and guitar combo. If two instruments was a good idea, then why not more? Rudy Bulfon willingly came on board with his tuba, and became fondly known as Tubby Tuba. With the addition of singers Roy Adams, Denis Farley, and Tony Magee, along with his mouth organ, why not consider entertaining at nursing and retirement homes in the area? As members of the Knights of Columbus, our music ministry would revolve around playing and singing many of the old-time favourites. In 2008, Dick Miller joined the group adding a keyboard to round out the instrumental side.

Since their first performance June 12, 2008, and projecting to year-end 2010, they will have performed over 70 times! Through this ministry each member proudly represents Council 5793, reaping rewards beyond all expectations.

The Knight Lites currently entertain monthly at the Collingwood Nursing Home, Blue Mountain Manor in Stayner and Georgian Traditions in Collingwood.

Performing for the benefit of senior citizens in our nursing and retirement homes has proven to be a very rewarding experience - for both audience and musicians alike.
